You call yourself a pharmapreneur! Tell us more…
So I went to LSU for undergrad and played volleyball there where I majored in Accounting. I then went on to pharmacy school which is where I met my husband on the very first day. We dream built together and one of those dreams was having our business, we just were not sure what that looked like. We graduated together in 2015, bought a house, got married and started our family. Fast forward to now, my husband is a pharmacist, I’m a retired pharmacist and we are running a 7-figure family digital content creation business and it’s been beyond anything we could have ever even imagined!
You “retired” at the age of 32! Please explain how we can do this too ;)
Retirement looks different for everyone. For me, it looked like working ridiculously hard as a pharmacist and influencer, both in a full time capacity for 2 years, and realizing that it was time to follow my passion and go all in as an influencer. I was able to fully fund my retirement as a pharmacist and it’s been a game changer. There’s nothing like being able to work for yourself, make your own schedule, and be present for your kids, at least not for me.:)
We’re all about your purpose in life: “ to show others that life has so much more to offer than just going to work for 40 hours per week, for the next 40 years, to retire with 40% of a 401k from a salary that was essentially never really enough in the first place.” Let us in on your secret; what’s your advice for choosing another path?
So, even with all of the schooling, it’s always been a goal for our family to live the best life possible for us. That, too, looks different for everyone. For us, it means being able to spend time with my family on our own terms. The secret is following your true passion, setting goals and going after them. Entrepreneurship is certainly not for everyone, but I’m so glad we took the leap!
You’re a Mother + Global Mobile Business Owner (tell us more about this one!)+Home owner (and designer) + Active, Athletic Independent woman. How do you balance it all? Any advice for the other mompreneurs out there?
The juggle struggle is so real and it may appear that I’ve got it all figured out, but it’s all a work in progress. Being a wife and mom comes before anything else, and the rest we try our very best to accommodate. That was another reason why I had to step away from being a pharmacist.
What is your favorite way to get out with your family when you can put down all the other hats you wear?
We love going out to eat as a family! Our go to spot is Pluckers!
And we have to ask, what’s in your Kibou when you’re out and about?
When I’m out and about, I’ll have a onesie, diaper or two, wipes, keys, debit card, drivers license, snack bars, charger and the built in changing pad (which is a game changer!)
Finally a quick round of fill-in-the-blank:
